These are walks on and around the South Downs in West Sussex. Also walks on the Isle of Wight that we enjoy. None of them are more than about 10 miles and most of them are shorter. They are leisurely and sometimes lazy days out to relax from the pace of modern life. There is a page showing an old interest of mine "Exhibition Chrysanthemums" and one showing the places we visit in Dorset.

About Sussex

In the winter you will need walking boots in the South Downs because it can get very muddy. In dry weather and in the summer good walking shoes or trainers will be fine. Have an Ordnance survey map of the area and a compass with you for directional help on your walk. Looking for more local Sussex information? Visit http://www.midsussexnetworks.org.uk/
