Portland near Weymouth

A thin strip of land with a bridge joins Portland to the mainland Out on the very tip is the lighthouse in the picture below. Portland has a very rugged coastline but very interesting to walk around. Park in one of the car parks at Portland Heights, take the road east and at the end pickup the coastal path following it all the way to the light house, then return back up the west side. The distance is about nine miles.
