Hi,

Just a quick note to say thank you to you both for setting up such a good website. My wife and I did Walk 21 in west dean a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. We never would have realised there were such good walks on our doorstep!

Hope you have a very merry christmas.

We followed one of your walks for the first time yesterday, having done a google search for walks near Graffham. We ended up doing walk 26 & really enjoyed it. The instructions were very clear, and whenever there was any doubt on direction, the photos were an enormous help.

Thank-you for the effort you put into the site, and thank-you for sharing these walks.

Regards,

Nicki & Hugh

Hi Graham and Pat,

Just wanted to let you know how good it is to see you sharing your walks and in such detail! We haven’t been out walking in ages and I managed to persuade my husband to do a shorter walk just to get him back into walking. We did Walk 17 from North Marden and onto Hooksway on Saturday over the Easter weekend and it was really lovely – we will definitely do it again and a stop off at the pub near the end of the walk was very welcome. We are hoping to do another (longer) one of your walks in the next couple of weeks – thanks again.

Hi Graham & Pat
Many thanks for your informative website, I realise now I've been using your walk guides for 2 or 3 years now and havn't even had the courtesy to say thanks.
We walk in Sussex, on the South Downs, Hampshire, Dorset and the Island regularly and we go off to The Peaks and Lakes each year too. In May we went to Madeira and I can't recommend it highly enough, fantastic walking with breathtaking views. Your pictures of Wales have inspired us and we're going to do Snowdon and the Pembrokeshire coast in 09.
Once again many many thanks
Keep on walking

I just had to write a note to say a huge thanks after we found your website yesterday and did your walk 5. We're not seasoned walkers, and couldn't have found anything like as nice a walk with just an OS map. The peacocks were shouting as we approached Monkton House, and one of them greeted us with a full display through the fence. So they're definitely still there!
Many thanks for taking the time to put together all these walks, very much appreciated. If you have a favourite charity then put a donate link on your site as a way of saying thanks.

Hi Graham and Pat ,

We have just spent a couple of great days staying at The Forresters Arms in Graffham and managed 3 of your very well directed walks only losing one afternoon to torrential rain. We found the walks very easy to follow because the photos are obviously very recent and we would like to thank you for your efforts in putting the site together. If anyone is looking for a pub with rooms - we would thoroughly recommend the Forresters Arms which is under new management of a very enthusiastic young couple with excellent "real" food all sourced within 50 miles.
We had a great time walking the region and will be back to do more! Thanks

Hi Graham,
Was stuck at home with nothing to do so googled walking in west Sussex and came across your site. Fantastic walk, the Boys 9,10 and 13 loved it.Walk 4. The bluebells were not to be found but the walk was great. Will try another next week once we’ve all recovered.
Thanks

Hello Graham,

I have now completed around 4 of your walks, actually No.4 twice, and today I completed N0, 19 in light drizzle with Bignor Hill being in the cloud!! What a fantastic walk, I loved it, although the trek up Bignor Hill to the Post at the end was , shall we say, a trial!!
Anyway what I wanted to say was thanks for what you have done with your web site which has enabled lots of people to follow easily a projected route, The photos are invaluable.
I always walk alone and this today was absolutely exhilarating.
Regards,
Chalky White.

Yesterday we did walk number 1 (Stedham/Iping e.t.c. ...). It was our first walk using your site & we found the directions excellent & easy to follow, and the pictures were a very useful guide. Having tried a walk recently from another book when we got hopelessly lost (!!) it was great to find something so easy to use. We will definitely try some of your other walks over the coming weeks & months.

Gary

I stumbled across your site whilst looking for a walk near Arundel. Myself and my partner did walk 18 and found it very enjoyable. We only encountered 1 other fellow walker on our route. We found the directions and especially the photo clues very easy to follow. Thank you for providing these excellent walking guides.

Yesterday we completed walk one and enjoyed it very much. This was a lovely spot with some wonderful countryside!! We didn't park where you suggested, because we felt the car was a bit vulnerable, so parked easily, a bit closer to the pub. The instructions you gave were clear and we followed them easily. The detour to the mill is definitely worth doing. We are trying the Selsey walk today. Thanks very much for a extremely useful web-site.

My wife and I completed walk 7 today which we found very enjoyable. I just wanted to say how much we appreciated having photographs of various parts of the route as 'confidence boosters' that we hadn't deviated from the planned route as is our normal custom! What an excellent idea. We really couldn't fault your directions. We will certainly be trying the other walks throughout the coming summer.
Thanks again.,

Walk 13
My son and I took our dogs on the circular Whiteways Lodge yesterday. It was a beautiful walk enjoyed by us and our dogs. We are new to walking and it took us three hours and was well worth the effort. Your picture map helped to guide us and we didn’t get lost at all. The views where breathtaking as well as was the climb, only because we are not as fit as we thought.
A great web site, we will certainly do more walks soon.
Thank you.

Walk 4
Just to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed walk no4, which enabled us to explore an area totally unknown to us but not far from home. We have done it twice now as we had to go again to see the bluebells. Thanks for your time and effort putting together such a useful web site.

Walk 11
I just wanted to compliment you on your web site - it's absolutely fantastic! - We followed one of your walks on Saturday in the Arundel Area, and the directions were spot-on. The photographs were a great aid, and also gave a good indication / preview of the walk.
Thanks!

Walk 17
Just got back. Went with children 6 & 8 years, who are exhausted. Only comment is that the start is hard to find. We parked in North Marden which consists of 3 houses and crossed the road to find the Copper Beaches and the driveway to Telegraph House. The drive is very private and we could find no footpath, so got back in the car and headed up the hill on the main road where, purely by accident we saw the start point.
Thanks again. How about a few more walks around Farnham !!
